READING MONTH

 Celebrate National Reading Month This Year

    


"The more you read the more things you will know. The more you learn the more places you'll go."

19th June to 18th July every Year is being celebrated as Reading Month in India, a month to motivate citizens of all ages to read everyday.

Reading is a fun and has many benefits regardless of your age. It's a key component to education and professional development. It also has immediate and long lasting health benefits such as increased cognitive Function, boost up our memory, enhanced vocabulary, empathy and decreased level of stress.

National Reading Month is commemorated to honour the father of the Library movement, Late P N Panicker whose death anniversary also falls on 19th June.

This year to celebrate National Reading Week our school is going to organize the following activities and competitions . these competitions are open for all. To take the pledge click on the "Digital Reading Pledge" and to participate in quiz click on the "Quiz".

Open Art Competition: The objective of open art competition is to engage children in a creative exercise to express themselves, stimulate their creativity and innovative ideas through art. Under Open Art Competition participants have to make a "Story Map" for any story which they have read during their summer Vacation and which is your favourite story. Or you can also go to your Library Blog to find Different stories.
